The Merchants Hope Episcopal Church in Prince George is very dear to my family. My grandparents were married there, as were some of my aunts and uncles. There is a long-standing tradition for the children to have a breakfast with Santa during the first week of December.
After the breakfast, there is a table with gifts spread out where children can choose gifts for others. All gifts have been donated and priced very low so that children can afford them. After the children have had some time to do their shopping, our family goes to my sister’s house to wrap the gifts and enjoy more time together. This is a rich tradition that I will greatly miss this year, as it is unlikely to happen due to the virus.
