According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, in 2023, “1,473 organizations were invited to survey their employees. Based on employee-survey feedback, 102 have earned recognition as Top Workplaces, an all-time high.”
For the last 10 award years, the Times-Dispatch has partnered with Energage, a Pennsylvania-based employee survey company, to find and honor recognition-worthy businesses. Businesses that participate in the Top Workplaces survey process are not required to pay a fee or purchase products or services. Local businesses must have at least 35 employees to apply for the Top Workplaces award, and at least 35% of employees must complete the survey questions.
